Secondary Research:
Tourism can be defined as where tourist travel to place to check it out like the beach whilst recreational use can be defined as where people decided to have a picnic and spend family time there. Both of these have negative and positive impacts for coastal environment and coastal communities.
Impacts on coastal environment:
Some of the impacts that tourism has on coastal environment such as that some people will take the shortcut to the beach which is usually going on the sand dunes that are fenced off.
Impacts on coastal communities:
There are different impacts ism has in the coastal communities such as that hotels with alot of tourist use a lot of water resources which can later result in water shortage, when it is busy bins can overflow and go everywhere as well as that people sometimes do not dispose of their rubbish the right way.

Primary Research:
Cronulla Beach:
On the 25th August, year ten students when to Cronulla Beach to gain a better knowledge about Coastal Management as well as why it is needed. When we went to the beach there was not a lot of people due to that it was winter, although this was the case people still littered after having a picnic.
North Gong Beach:
On the 27th August, my family and I went to North Gong Beach to collect more primary research, by going to this beach we were able to see the new playground that was created on the far west side which had a lot of tourist. For the playground to be put there vegetation had to be removed it natural environment and disposed of.
